Cooking Class: Fresh Berry Genoise & Chantilly Cream

Join Chef Twinkle in The Nook, Tuesday, July 2, at 11 a.m. and follow along as they show you how to create a simple, delicately-layered, summer berry genoise with fresh Chantilly cream. You’ll learn to create your own hand-whipped lavender vanilla Chantilly cream, moist buttery genoise, and a rich, complex prosecco-laced berry jam layered together to create a gorgeous dessert for your Fourth holiday, a special event, or just a night in by yourself. After this class, you may not want to share! This is a semi-hands on class, so you *might* get a little messy, so dress accordingly. You’ll take home one 4-6 portion cake of your own, recipes, and a shopping list to the store.

- How to make a simple jam
- Making the fluffiest and lightest whipped cream
- Tips for creating a simple buttery genoise sheet cake
- Tips for cutting/hulling strawberries & macerating
- Simple, easy decorating tips
- The class includes a recipe, though a notepad and pen are always a good idea to bring along!
- You can bring your favorite apron, otherwise we can provide one to you.
- Class duration 2 hours.
