Cooking Class: Sourdough Bread

Sourdough Bread SUNDAY 10/20 – “Sourdough Boule’ –
In this class you will learn how to craft a 100% naturally fermented loaf (no baker’s yeast) based on the San Francisco Tartine Bakery’s signature round, crusty, tangy loaf. This loaf requires a lot of time due to natural fermentation taking place. Attendees can mix their dough in class and take the dough home to complete or just take the ingredients home to mix at their convenience. (Keep in mind mixing space can be limited). For those who wish to mix their dough in class bringing a large plastic bowl with a lid is also recommended. Attendees will need to own a 5-quart Dutch oven and parchment paper. Attendees will receive the recipe, some fresh, active sourdough starter and enough ingredients to try their hand at home. (Skill Level – Intermediate to advanced).
